Balanced Self-Confidence

Being a sales person, I Always feel that all my professional success credit goes to the confidence level. but some times I also feel that I should be able to manage my confidence level. Some times, in some situations I was unable to manage my confidence and due to that even I faced few unwanted things.

Getting this right is a matter of having the right amount of confidence, founded in reality and on our true ability.

If I'm under-confident, I will avoid taking risks and stretching myself; and I might not try at all. And if I'm over-confident, I may take on too much risk, stretch myself beyond my capabilities, and crash badly. I even some times find that I'm so optimistic that I don’t try hard enough to truly succeed.

Recruitments in Animation Industry

The commercial side of Indian animation industry has been active now for more than a 10-15yrs.There is no doubt that a huge market exists for industry-based courses. Qualifications that can help people get profitable jobs. But Recruitment methods in the industry are dominated by word of mouth and friendly contacts. Its not that easy as in other fields.

Few recruitment agencies specialize in animation placements since this is still a relatively new field. But when we compare it to It-industry its still lack of speed process. Training institutes still lack serious credibility among the industry and as a result formal ties with animation houses to take on the 'qualified animators' they produce are more or less non-existent.

At present it is pretty much dependent on the one's individual contacts and stamina to get his choice of job. Poaching becomes very common especially when a studio lands a project that it finds too big to handle on its current strength. Often such recruitments are for short project-based durations. Smaller units that cannot afford high overheads now prefer free-lance animators and artists.

"''''Animation=Awesome=$$$'''''"

From last few months I'm spending more time on understanding the Animation Industry. I'm becoming crazy day by day!.
Interesting...!
wonderful...!
Awesome..!
Great.....!
These are the words which will come in my mind when I think about animation. Searched the web, contacted friends, and still doing some paper work to understand the each and every aspect of the Animation industry.

Initially its my interest and my like which leads me to study the Animation Industry, but slowly started to make it as part of my work profile. Because there is lots of money to get out of it.
Don't know where i will land but I'm enjoying this....

" Email campaigning "

Last from few days I'm trying to get satisfactory answer for "what is the impact of Email Campaigning specially in project outsourcing?how best we can crack the deal ?".
Even I posted this question in Linked In where i got little response just want to share few of them:

When in business Development it works pretty well and that only if you follow up with each and every mail you send/sent.

Things you should watch out for are:

1). Client/s competitors in the market. (TRY CONTACTING THEM TOO).
2). Avoid a single mistake in you mailer. (This should be reviewed by each member of BD Deptmt).
3). Provide 2 reply to: email instead of one. (One should be yours other Sr. Manager).
4). Use a shooter to send email instead of your outlook. (May be ask IT Department to provide you with a shoot email id. (This is so that most people don't put your original email ID on SPAM) If not this will hinder your mails from getting through to those clients when the are looking for vendors in further future).

Email will just create an awareness, an email will not fetch business, there has to be a dialogue witht he prospects, and exchange of value delivered.

If its a low value offering, email can work well as its cost effective, 99% of the emails end up in the recycle bin

Email campaigning would work with US and UK Market well and good and about Indian Market i would say 50 - 50
